Meet our Officers and Staff Members

Todd works professionally as a composer, with his primary focus on films, television and media. He is also the director of the Legacy Scoring Orchestra which produces soundtracks for other composers around the world. His heart is to work with musicians from all skill levels and all walks of life, providing opportunities to bring them together. Outside of his musical pursuits he is passionate about film, enjoys reading old books, sushi and cats.

Karen has played clarinet in the band for twenty years and has been in leadership for the past ten. She loves the warm fellowship among the members of the YACCB, as well as the musical challenge and providing concerts for the citizens of the greater Youngstown Area. She is a retired religious educator in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, serves as a docent at the Butler Institute of American Art and loves learning about the history of the Mahoning Valley.

Christie has been a member of the YACCB saxophone section since 2023, and has served as the secretary of the YACCB board since January 2026. Christie is a 2019 graduate of

Youngstown State University and the Dana School of Music, where she studied Music Education and Saxophone with Dr. Jim Umble. She currently teaches grades 6-12 band and choir and directs the marching band at Newton Falls High School, and she also serves as a

co-chair for the Ohio Music Education Association District 5 Chamber Choir Festival. When she's not at work or rehearsal, Christie enjoys reading, building Lego sets, doing puzzles, and

spending time with her 3 dogs, Shenzi, Grayson and Lola.

Ryan is an amateur music enthusiast who played trumpet and French Horn in high school.  In 2019, he joined the YACCB as a French Horn section  member.  A few years later, when his younger son decided to play the French Horn in middle school band, Ryan moved to the trombone section.  His older son also plays with the YACCB in the euphonium section.  Ryan  loves being a part of the band and he values the welcoming community it  provides for its members.

Terri spent her early years in Warren, Ohio, graduating from Western Reserve High School. There she majored in Music Education and received a B of M from Youngstown State University. She taught music, band and later was a school librarian in Warren City Schools. In addition, she has raised a family with 3 daughters, husband and various pets while continuing to teach private

instrumental music lessons and play the oboe in 2 concert bands.
